About Me

My photo
I am a "Twenty something" year old Swedish girl, currently living in Montreal for the past 5 years. I recently started blogging. I write a lot about my life in Montreal, work, traveling, shopping, friends and sometimes a little bit about LOVE. Even though my blog talks a lot about fashion I would not call it a "fashion blog". I am not quite sure what to call this blog. I blog about everything I love around the world. It can be anything from fashion to food. It's simply a Viktoria blog, a blog about the things I love...so I will call it ViktoriaLove! Welcome to my blog!

A little Love and A little Frustration

Share

Salut!
Sorry for being a little M.I.A for the past few days but I had some things I had to do and to think about and my mood was a bit down, but now I am back.

Yesterday was an interesting day I got a lot of "adult stuff" done..hehe...I mean like all kinds of paper work stuff around the house and yes of course I went to hot yoga. I can't live without it anymore. Damn you Nat, you got me addicted to hot yoga! I just LOVE how great you feel after you finish and you have a shower....
Complete Relaxation and you feel like you are walking on air!

I had a look at the weather forecast and lucky me it's only going to rain till Saturday....that's the next 5 days! I guess I get some good use out of my Burberry wellingtons finally.
I have not decided what I am going to do today yet except for yoga and groceries then we will see where the day takes me. It would be nice if it stopped raining so I could walk around down town and see if I can find "that" jacket I want.

I LOVE this photo which I actually took right here in Montreal. It's a statue that says Love...when I saw it I was going to take it home with me but then I didn't find a way to transport it, at least I've got this photo.

On a completely other note, what is up with the TERRIBLE customer service in Montreal? Wow, people are just messed up...they think they are up on some kind of high horse but reality check, YOU'RE NOT!
I read this one message this morning and I thought to myself... "people are so freaking fake" in this city! They are nice to your face but after that they don't care. I think that if you say, you are going to do something you should do it otherwise don't say it. Am I not right? Especially after you have messed up in the past.
Anyways, there are lots of great people here in the city to, but you know how it is....it's always the ones you don't like that get to you the most. To all my great "Monty people" LOVE ya!

I kind of feel like cooking dinner tonight, not just for me but maybe for some friends. I am going to go now and find out what every ones dinner plans are for tonight. I'll be back a little later.

Bisous! Bisous!

What to do What to do

Share

eehhh....what's up?

Just got of the phone with my mommy (miss her lots), we talked about lots of fun things like always.

It's raining outside again, I feel like this weather girl Laurie Graham (i think that's her name), you know the blond one that works for CTV, like she is always wrong with her weather forecasts. I thought it was not supposed to rain today? I mean giving the wrong weather forecast really "messes" with peoples weekend plans...grrr....
Ok, ok, maybe it's not Lauries fault but it feels better if you can blame it on someone. Right?

I'm not sure what to do today now that the weather is ICKY. I am debating weather I should stay home and watch a bunch of reality TV-shows? It's kind of nice to have a lazy, at home Sunday. I don't usually watch reality shows but this could be a perfect timing to catch up on them and as everyone seems to be watching them and I'll finally be able to join the conversations about.....
"OMG, she can't dance at all" and "I think this girl should be Americas next top model"....lol...NOT!

Or I can......

Be a trooper, get dressed, make my friends get ready and head over to Picnik Elecro, to dance and listen to Josh Wink. This is "most def" a much more challenging option than staying home.
However, I have the gear for it, my "wellies", my raincoat, some leggings and a jumper and I even have a rain-hat and an umbrella. This should keep me dry while dancing and singing in the rain...right? Anyways, even if we do get a little wet it's just water after all and I am not gonna melt...lol

What to do...what to do..? What do you think I should do?
Yikes....need to decide sooner than later....

Temp Tattoos Cooler than Real Tattoos?

Share

Real vs Temporary Tattoos?

I keep seeing more and more designers come out with temporary tattoos is this good? Bad? Cool?
I like tattoos, I don't have any myself but I like them. I have always wanted one but I am scared that I will get tired of the design or the place on my body it is tattooed on. I also think tattoos look nice as long as your skin looks nice and healthy but when I see someone with nasty, wrinkly skin and a tattoo that you can't tell what it is anymore I think it looks gross. So I actually think that nice, fashionable tattoos by famous designers id the perfect option for me.

One of my already favorite designers has already launched a series or temporary tattoos. It's Betsey Johnson that has launched these super nice and trendy temporary tattoos. Woohoo! I am so getting some.

There is no waiting list so it basically first come first serve. You can find them by clicking HERE on the Betsey Johnson website.

Here are some examples of the style sheets that you can get and then go a head and be creative and create a custom temporary tattoo look.
Wicked!

You know who else rocking and designing temporary tattoos?
She is "most def" one of my favorite artists.....any ideas?

beyonce02 Beyonce For Dereon Tattoos!

Taking cues from the latest obsession created by temporary tattoos Beyonce signs a deal with Temptu for a collection of tattoos. I just love the tattoo on her back so Sexy!

This is what Wwd reported:

"The tattoos are due on Nov. 1, and are available in both deluxe and basic packages. Designs include Deréon’s signature fleur icon, rocker bolts and chains, jewel baubles and spider designs. All are waterproof and designed to last for two to five days. The basic kits retail for $16 and will be available at Sephora stores in the U.S. and Canada, Sephora.com, Temptu.com and Dereon.com. The deluxe edition, $34 and limited to 500 pieces, will be available only on Temptu.com and Dereon.com. A waiting list is being taken here. Industry sources estimate the line could do upward of $200,000 at wholesale.”

After seeing these photographs of Beyonce for Tempu, I don't want real tattoos.
I WANT THESE ONES! They are so HOT!
I am signing up for the waiting list as soon as I finish writing this post. When I get my tattoos I will take sime pics and post them here on my blog for all of you to see. : )

At the end of the day what do you think about temporary tattoos?
Lame or Cool?
I know I prefer the temporary ones for sure as I can spot a new look depending on the occasion and outfit.

One of those days...

Hej...

An little update on yesterdays day.

I started my day with the usual morning coffee which I drink while reading some of my favorite blogs. I cannot function without having coffee first thing in the morning.
It is literally like a routine. I wake up, walk to the kitchen put on the water to boil. Then I go brush my teeth and stuff in the bathroom and I usually have time to make my bed before the water is ready. I make my coffee, only the smell of it helps my eyes be less heavy and open up. I walk over to my "office room" where I turn on my computer and check out my mail, blogs, FB etc while I slowly awaken and drink my coffee. That is exactly how my morning looked yesterday.

Later on that day I had some errands to run like go to the bank, meet up with someone to go pick up some business cards etc. Then I had to rush back home because Thursdays are ZUMBA days. I got changed quickly and headed towards the Zumba class where I met the rest of my girlfriends and we all shooke our "booties" together. "BOING"!

Zumba, is really fun but very exhausting so after the workout I just felt like going home taking a shower and maybe watching some TV, but that was not an option last night. I had to go pick up a friend and we had some work to do. On the way to pick up my friend I started hearing weird noises, was not to sure what they were till I figured out that I was STARVING!!!! I knew exactly what I wanted to eat. There is this little cute Greek resto not to far from my house, we went there and we got a Gyro meat plate each with just greek salad. YUM! My lovely friend also brought some wine to go with it, this made working some much more fun.

Once we finished what we had to do I was in bed fast, fast, read a few pages of "The Monk who sold his ferrari" and fell asleep with my little Chichi (chihuahua).
This books helps me calm down before I fall a sleep, such an awesome book.

That was my day more or less yesterday. Today is another event filled day and it's rainy Friday, but it will still be a great day because it is what you make it to be. Talk to you in a bit.

Finally Wolf & Harrison is here!

W&H is a cowboy western inspired clothing company that has been long in the making and has finally launched it's first FABULOUS collection.

They have gorgeous clothing for both men and women.
Wolf & Harrison offers everyday clothing for people who have a great taste. It is for someone who likes a rugged yet refined, southwestern-inspired apparel. The clothing offered from W&H is comfortable, casual basics that can be worn anywhere.
You can dress it down or dress it up depending on your mood and the occasion.

All the detailing of the clothing is made of real leather....

This tee is made for men and women. You can see a girl wearing the women version of this tee in the above picture.

If you have not heard about W&H yet then it's time you do because this is going to be the next up and coming clothing brand.

Morning....morning gray rainy weather and my friend "the cold"....

I tried to open my eyes this morning but it's like they were glued together and no matter how hard I pressed they wouldn't open. After tossing and turning I finally managed to get out of bed.
Last night I wasn't sure if my friend " the cold" actually came to visit me but now it's official he did and he is here to stay. Ugh!!! Hope it will be a quick visit this time.

The upside of the rainy weather and having a cold is that I get to stay home and:

1. Re-arrange my closets from summer to winter clothes, shoes & jackets.

2. Apply for a job I really want and I am really excited about.

3. Read the new books I bought yesterday.

4. Hang out with my little Chihuahua...Mikey.

5. Work on my exciting online project which is very close to the finish line.

Here are the two books that I think everyone should try to read. When I first heard the titles of these books, I didn't find them attractive to read at all but no that I started reading the I LOVE them. They are both great books and are worth the read!
I always end up reading two books at the same time, I don't know why but it happens. Either I am to eager to read the books so I start both at the same time or sometimes I need a break from one of the books so then I switch to the other one..lol...this is how I read.
Anyone else with funny or weird reading habits?

Personal-finance author and lecturer Robert Kiyosaki developed his unique economic perspective through exposure to a pair of disparate influences: his own highly educated but fiscally unstable father, and the multimillionaire eighth-grade dropout father of his closest friend. The lifelong monetary problems experienced by his "poor dad" (whose weekly paychecks, while respectable, were never quite sufficient to meet family needs) pounded home the counterpoint communicated by his "rich dad" (that "the poor and the middle class work for money," but "the rich have money work for them"). Taking that message to heart, Kiyosaki was able to retire at 47. Rich Dad, Poor Dad, written with consultant and CPA Sharon L. Lechter, lays out his the philosophy behind his relationship with money. Although Kiyosaki can take a frustratingly long time to make his points, his book nonetheless compellingly advocates for the type of "financial literacy" that's never taught in schools. Based on the principle that income-generating assets always provide healthier bottom-line results than even the best of traditional jobs, it explains how those assets might be acquired so that the jobs can eventually be shed.

"....is the story of Julian Mantle, a superstar lawyer whose out-of-balance lifestyle leads him to an almost fatal heart attack in a packed courtroom. His physical collapse brings on a spiritual crisis that forces him to confront the condition of his life and seek answers to life’s most important questions. Hoping to find happiness and fulfillment, he embarks upon an extraordinary odyssey to an ancient culture where he discovers a powerful system to release the potential of his mind, body and soul and learns to live with greater passion, purpose and peace. Brilliantly blending timeless spiritual wisdom of the East with cutting-edge success principles of the West, this inspiring tale shows you a step-by-step pathway for living with greater courage, balance, abundance and joy."

Let me know what you think of these books if you have read them or after you read them. I hope you will like them.
Now I am going to go and have my morning coffee and feel better, pop lots of cold medicine (although it just makes you feel better but DOES NOT actually get rid of the cold).
